California Midcentury Flamingo Vase Set with Pond Maddox 1950's

  

An over-the-top pond with blossom sides has a coordinating double flamingo vase to place inside. The molded ceramic pond and vase are glazed in deep pink and turquoise green, with accents of black on the faces and bodies of the flamingos. Both pieces have shallow unglazed feet and the bases are glazed. There is a molded mark on the base of the vase that reads MADDUX OF CALIF.

"Pond" Dish - 14 ¾" (37.5 cm) wide x 7 ½" (19.0 cm) deep x 2 ½ (6.4 cm) tall. Flamingo Vase - 6 ½" (16.5 cm) wide x 2 1/8" (5.4 cm) deep x 5 1/8 (13/0 cm) tall.

Weighs 2 lb 12.7 oz (1275 g). There are tiny glaze frits on the mouth of the vase and both a chip and glaze frit on the mouth of the pond. There are no cracks or breaks. The glazes are fresh and bright.
